Privacy Policy
Last updated: 05/05/2026
Olamaelcu is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your information.
Overview
Olamaelcu is a software lab providing web experiments and services. We believe your data is your data — we don't sell it, and only collect what we need to operate the services.
Data We Collect
Identifiers: Depending on the service, we may collect an ATProto DID (Decentralized Identifier) or an email address — for example, when signing up for a waitlist. We only collect what is necessary for the service in question.
Session Cookies: Some services may use persistent first-party cookies to keep you logged in. These cookies are typically retained for one year after your last activity. You can delete stored cookies through your browser at any time.
Analytics: This site uses self-hosted Plausible Analytics, running at analytics.olamaelcu.net. It is a privacy-first analytics service that does not use cookies and does not collect personal data. For more details, visit Plausible's Privacy Policy.
Third-Party Services
We currently do not share your data with any third-party services beyond what is necessary to operate the services (e.g., our analytics provider). If this changes, we will update this policy and, where required, obtain your consent.
Data Retention
Service data (such as ATProto DIDs or email addresses collected for waitlists) is retained for one year after the last recorded activity. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us at privacy@olamaelcu.net.
Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal data, including the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your information. To exercise these rights, please contact us at privacy@olamaelcu.net.
Governing Law
This Privacy Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. When we make significant changes, we will announce them on our blog or through the services.
